Charlotte Beeckmans

Charlotte is active in the Media & Entertainment and Advertising & Communication sectors, and has been working closely with Agnès Maqua for more than 6 years. Charlotte advises and intervenes for leading players of the media ecosystem, particularly for film, television, radio, platform, music, publishing, event and advertising actors.

Charlotte focuses on intellectual property, trade practices and all regulatory matters related to media and entertainment. Charlotte is particularly fond of the complex issues and challenges raised by the constant evolution of regulations in the media and the ICT sector. The transposition of the AVMS, DSM and Copyright directives and the DSA are her favorite playgrounds. She is regularly in contact with regulatory and self-regulatory authorities to anticipate and follow the latest trends and frameworks. She is also involved in film financing & production, and has a strong expertise in clearing operations, acquisition and negotiation of rights (copyrights, neighboring rights and image rights).

Charlotte is recognized by clients for her pragmatic, eye-for-detail and solution-minded approach.

Since 2018, Charlotte is appointed Visiting Professor at IHECS teaching Advertising Law and Ethics.
